Hi-Tech Trusses: the first Roof Truss AIOS.

Not an ERP rollout. An AIOS — architected for one timber truss fabricator. We moved them off a single Excel file and raised seven modules on top of the Foundation. The business runs on it now.

What we walked into

Hi-Tech Trusses, part of the Alkan Group umbrella alongside NTruss, was running the entire operation on a single local Excel file.

Ten people, one office, one spreadsheet passed between them. Keeping track of the right version of a quote was a constant fight. No inventory system. Two to three hours every day lost to redundant manual entry. No system to make sense of the business at scale — and a founder working 80% in the business instead of on it.

"We were wasting hours every day just trying to figure out which quote was the right one. Ali came in, mapped out exactly how we work, and built a system that actually fits our business. Everything is in one place now."
— Selim, Owner of Alkan Group

What we architected

We started with a Survey — sitting with Selim, mapping the workflows across both brands (Hi-Tech Trusses and NTruss) that share the office and team. Then a Foundation session, on-site, to bring the core of their AIOS online: the system that sees the business, holds its data, and reasons over it.

  • Layer 1 — Context. Living documentation of the truss business. The AIOS knows how quotes are built, how jobs move through the shop, and which brand they belong to.
  • Layer 2 — Data. One source of truth. No more chasing file versions. Quotes, jobs, and inventory captured in a single place the team can trust.
  • Layer 3 — Intelligence. The AIOS reasons over the data. Daily summaries on what was quoted, what's on the floor, what needs Selim's attention — surfaced before he asks.

Then we raised the Wing scope on top of the Foundation — seven modules in total. Quoting first, the workflow eating the most hours. Then MYOB accounting, the suppliers list, inventory management, and the Mitek CRM. Each module a single workflow, end-to-end, owned by the AIOS instead of the spreadsheet.

Outcomes

Hi-Tech Trusses moved off Excel entirely. The quoting workflow lives inside the AIOS. Accounting, suppliers, inventory, and CRM all flow through the same system. The time previously lost to manual entry — two to three hours a day per team member — is back on the production floor and in the founder's hands.

  • Quoting, automated. One canonical version. No more "which file is the latest?"
  • Single source of truth. All operational data lives in the AIOS — quoting, accounting, suppliers, inventory, customers.
  • 2–3 hours reclaimed daily. Manual data entry, gone.
  • Founder bandwidth, back. Selim runs the business on the AIOS instead of running it inside the spreadsheet.
  • Multi-brand visibility. Hi-Tech Trusses and NTruss, one dashboard.

Why it matters

This is the first Roof Truss AIOS. Foundation set, then seven modules raised on top of it — the full Wing scope, standing across the operation. From quoting to CRM, every workflow that used to live in the spreadsheet now lives in the AIOS.

The difference between this and an off-the-shelf ERP: an ERP is a database with forms over it, frozen the day it ships. An AIOS sees the business, holds its data, and reasons over it — and grows module by module as the business changes. Selim's system was architected around how his business actually works, and it keeps changing with it.
